Our Ingredient Philosophy
At Dr. Biss, we believe customers deserve to know exactly what they are putting on their skin. That is why we use simple, recognizable ingredients and avoid unnecessary additives.
What We Avoid
We do not use sulfates, parabens, palm oil, alcohol, synthetic dyes, or unnecessary fillers.
Liquid Soap Note
Our liquid soaps may include potassium hydroxide during the soap-making process. It is used for saponification and is not present as a harsh free ingredient in the finished soap.
What We Use
Oils — Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Soybean Oil
Scent — Lavender Essential Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil
Botanical — Turmeric (Curcuma longa)
Supporting — Glycerin, Citric Acid, Tocopherol, Sea Salt, Sucrose
What We Never Use
No Sulfates — No SLS or SLES. These harsh detergents strip the skin's natural oils.
No Parabens — No methylparaben, propylparaben, or any other paraben preservatives.
No Synthetic Fragrances — Every scent comes from an identifiable essential oil. No mystery 'fragrance' on our labels.
No Artificial Dyes — Color from botanicals only: turmeric, activated charcoal, spirulina.
No Palm Oil — Linked to deforestation and habitat destruction. We don't use it.
